This Noctule Bat came flying in low from the south over the feeder stream at Eyebrook Reservoir and chose to land on the bridge 2ft from us. It spent the next 30 minutes preening before flying off north. 






It wrapped it's wings over it's head and had a quick bat nap.

Would be interesting to know where it had come from and where it was going. Was it migrating?


A nice pale Common Buzzard - easy to see why people mistake them for Rough-legs. RW
